The Constituent Assembly
In the contemporary Nepalese Interim Constitution introduced in the year 2007 (B.S 2063) and the upcoming election for the Constituent Assembly, FWLD intends to conscientiously and strategically intervene by:
- Thoroughly study and publish the Constitutional Provisions on women's rights from selected countries of the world
- Raise voice for Women's proportional participation in the upcoming Constituent Assembly
- Make agenda for women's rights and rights of marginalized people for the new Constitution
- Raise awareness about Women's rights amongst the Members of the Constituent Assembly
- Implement Civic education programs through Coalition of Constituent Assembly Support (CoCAS). Implement orientation programs to voters from each district
- Draft and propose the new Constitutional mechanism and in turn discuss about it with the women's rights NGOs, civil societies, the members of the Constituent Assembly and other concerned organizations.
