FWLD Anniversary

 

In order to gauge the implementation status of the historic proposal on women’s rights passed by the Parliament on May 30, 2006, and for celebrating the 16th anniversary pf FWLD the program was organised. Hon' ble Subash Chandra Nembang was chief guest for the program. Hon' ble Baburam Bhattarai, Hon' ble.Pradeep Giri,. Hon'ble Sapana Pradhan Malla and Hon' ble Pradeep Gyawali shared their thoughts as distinguished speakers.

In recognition of her efforts in the field on women human rights, Honble Sapana Pradhan Malla was awarded the Gruber Women's Right Award in 2008. The Laxman Aryal Women's Right Award is an initiative to felicitate personalities working in the field of women rights. This award was established in 2067 BS and is funded by the purse received from the Gruber award. This year Hon'ble Kamala Pant and Ms Vidhya Devi Bhandari were honored for their contributions for women rights. Ms Sabina Damai and Ms Sunthali Dhami joined the program as special guest.
