National Networks

Three national level networks are formed to work in different strategic areas. CEDAW Monitoring Committee (CMC) is a network formed in the year 2000 to work on the implementation of the CEDAW Convention and its Optional Protocol. Preparation of Shadow Report advocating for effective implementation of the CEDAW Convention are the activities that the network carries out. FWLD coordinates the Committee. Organizations involved are ABC-Nepal, Didi-Bahini, FEDO, Inhered International, LACC, SAATHI and Sancharika Samuha.

Another group was formed (Trafficking Network) in the year 2001 specifically of those organizations working on trafficking. The group worked to provide recommendations for reformations on the Human Trafficking (Control) Bill and advocate for its adoption. Apart from this, the group prepared an alternate report on the SAARC Convention on the Preventing and Combating Trafficking in Women and Children for Prostitution, 2002. This group submitted this alternate report to the SAARC Secretariat during the Eleventh SAARC Summit. The organizations in the group are AATWIN, ABC Nepal, CAC Nepal, CWIN, HIMRIGHTS, JIT, LACC, Maiti Nepal , NNAGT and Shakti Samuha. FWLD coordinated this group.

A group was formed (Network on Women's Human Rights) in the year 2001 to work on the issue in the Country Code (Eleventh Amendment) Bill, especially the inheritance rights of women. This group was involved in providing recommendations for the reformations in the Bill as well as advocating to enact the Bill. One of the achievements of this group was the passing of the Bill that ensured many women's human rights eliminating discriminatory laws against women. This group included National Human Rights Commission, CREHPA, FEDO, INSEC, SAATHI, Action Aid-Nepal, Kamdhenu Federation, Sancharika Samuha, Women's Security Pressure Group, LACC and ABC-Nepal. FWLD coordinated this group.

International Networks

FWLD is a member of a South Asian Monitoring Group on Facilitating the Fulfillment of the State Obligation towards Women's Equality coordinated by IWRAW-Asia Pacific. FWLD is also a member of APWLD. FWLD also works with the Washington School of Law in St. Louis by liaising with the professors and students to work on the issue of human rights of women. FWLD works in collaboration with Equality Now, CRR and IWRAW – South Asian Monitoring Group.
