Fact Finding Study

Even after being a party to 21 International Human Rights Instruments and undertaking activities to obliterate infringement of human rights, violation in human rights in Nepal is ubiquitous. Women far and wide confront violence, be it in their homes, workplaces and even public places. Violence against women has multidimensional problems broadly existing in Nepal that requires quality attention.

FWLD in collaboration with The Human Rights Treaty Monitoring Coordinating Committee (HRTMCC) has been strongly involved in fact findings against violation of human rights and has been participating and spearheading radical missions particularly in gender-related issues and the CEDAW arena, in various districts of Nepal. We accumulate information of the factual episode, converse with the victims and sometimes with the brazen perpetrators, come to a conclusion and inform the concerned agencies, recommending them for further actions from their part and publicize through the media.
